Site launched

art-official.org is live: the white paper, this updates log, the schema documentation, the /ns/ namespace stub, the /evidence/ page, and /about/. Source is at github.com/bernardbolter/art-official, deployed to Cloudflare Pages on push. This replaces the placeholder that previously occupied the apex.

2026 — Phases 1–3, schema reconciliation

Provenance remapped, JSON-LD corrected, privacy gap closed

Live and verified in production on bernardbolter.com, ahead of this site’s launch:

• A privacy fix: ownershipHistory, loanHistory, and provenanceConfidenceLayer moved from public-read-with-key-stripping to genuine field-level access control on the raw REST API.
• The Linked Art provenance remapping: ownershipHistory became a typed event array (acquisition | transfer | consignment); the unenforced transactionId linkage pattern was removed entirely, with a sale now modeled as the ownership-changing event itself; loanHistory became a real relationship to the Events collection.
• JSON-LD type corrections: time-based works now carry a second applicable schema.org type (e.g. VideoObject alongside VisualArtwork) instead of always emitting VisualArtwork alone; event types now map to their correct schema.org subtype instead of falling back incorrectly; creator now emits a full Person object instead of a bare @id pointer; a role field on People records now correctly resolves individuals to Person and institutions to Organization, rather than always emitting Person.

Phase 4: namespace rename, artism: → art-official:

Was blocked on this site existing with a real, resolving /ns/ path. That path now resolves (see /ns/, currently v0.1, a stub). Phase 4 itself — renaming the prefix in bernardbolter.com’s JSON-LD output, repointing @context at https://art-official.org/ns/, and removing the old artism.org fallback-gate code comment — is tracked in bernardbolter.com’s own codebase, not this repo. This entry will be updated when it ships.
